What is Revanesse® Lips™?

  • Revanesse® Lips™ is an FDA approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler primarily developed for use for lip augmentation in those who are 22 years or older.
  • Lip filler is one of the most common cosmetic procedures for both women and men. They are plumping their lips to enhance their overall appearance.  Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by your body to keep your skin hydrated and supple. When Revanesse® Lips™ is injected into your lips, it restores volume, smooths our wrinkles, provides an extra little plump without making them look inflated or unnatural.
  • Revanesse® Lips™ also contains a bit of lidocaine to make the injections as comfortable as possible.
  • Revanesse® Lips™ also contains 20% more product than most dermal fillers.
  • Most patients have experienced some of the longest lasting results around today.
  • Revanesse® Lips™ is a bit different than other lip fillers because of how it is manufactured. Revanesse® Lips™ hyaluronic particles stay closer together, are spherical in shape, and are more consistent in size thanks to the manufacturer’s wet milling process, resulting in a natural, smooth treatment for you.

What to do Before a Revanesse® Lips™ Treatment

  • Avoid aspirin or aspirin containing products, unless medically contraindicated, Advil, Motrin, ibuprofen, Vitamin E, green tea, gingko, ginseng, and St. John’s Wort for a period of 5 days prior to Revanesse® Lips™ injections. If you have any active skin infections or inflammation, Revanesse® Lips™ cannot be injected.
  • If you have cold sore outbreaks, needle punctures could contribute to another one. You should take medication to treat a potential outbreak prior to the Revanesse® Lips™ procedure.

What Happens After Lip Injections?

  • Revanesse® Lips™ is known to cause less swelling than most dermal fillers.
  • Some mild side effects may include bruising, swelling, itching, redness, and infection.
  • Avoid sunbathing and cold outdoor activities until any redness or swelling disappears.
  • Avoid aspirin or aspirin-like products, unless medically contraindicated, for 7 days after treatment to minimize bruising.
  • Avoid exercise and alcohol for 24 hours after your treatment with Revanesse® Lips™.
  • Followup with your clinician in 14 days. It takes 2 – 4 weeks to see final results.

During the Treatment

  • The area to be treated will be cleansed.
  • A numbing cream may be applied, if requested.
  • The treatment usually takes about 30 minutes

Who Cannot Get Revanesse® Lips™?

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
  • Those who are allergic to any of its ingredients.
  • Those who have a history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring.
  • Have wounds at the proposed treatment site.
  • Have had a cosmetic treatment less than 14 days before the proposed treatment with Revanesse® Lips™ or less than 14 days after the proposed treatment.
